The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and talented Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator to join our growing CRM team. Supported by our Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant to develop a best-in-class customer experience for our customers.

Your role will be central to the day to day running of personalised and timely communications to our customers, ensuring that the functionality available in Marketing Cloud is used to its best advantage for customer experience.

A great aptitude for working with technical solutions is essential, as you will be focused on leveraging the platform to make intelligent data-driven decisions, empowering the CRM team to provide an excellent customer experience across all communication channels.

This is an exciting new role perfect for a candidate who is eager to train and grow your expertise in marketing technologies – we’ve recently grown our Salesforce library to include both Advertising Studio, IS and CDP, so you’ll have the opportunity to learn these too. We will also support you as you become Salesforce Certified.

Location

Home-based but will require regular client visits, trips to London office and sometimes international travel

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the CRM team to deliver strategy for our customers businesses 
  • Assisting in the creation of Marketing Cloud journeys using Journey Builder
  • Using SQL to build complex data automations
  • Coding and configuring personalisation in customer messaging
  • Developing, standardising and maintaining marketing emails using HTML, CSS and best practice templating
  • Ensuring all new workflow releases are tested thoroughly, communicated clearly and delivered successfully
  • Working closely with the Salesforce Core team to deliver new cross platform business initiatives
  • Troubleshooting incidents by effectively prioritising, triaging, and communicating status
  • Monitoring system health and performance including pro-actively identifying and improving system processes
  • Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation
  • Extending reporting functionality
  • User management

About You 

  • Proven technology background in a professional or higher-education context
  • A keen interest in developing and growing Salesforce Marketing Cloud knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of SQL fundamentals
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Knowledge of marketing automation
  • Understanding of the basics of marketing strategy
  • Strong time management, planning, prioritisation and technical skills
  • Working knowledge of modern HTML/CSS and Javascript/AmpScript
  • Prior experience with Salesforce desirable, but not a requirement
  • A friendly ‘can-do’ attitude and desire to take ownership and grow. You’ll be a supportive team-player
